From Coding to Careers: Students Explore Their Future at Credera's Pathway Finder Visit
Bold Idea students had the incredible opportunity to celebrate the end of Summer Coding Camp with a Pathway Finder Visit to Credera. The experience gave students a firsthand look at what it's like to work in the technology industry while inspiring them to imagine the many possibilities that await them in the future.
The visit began with a tour of Credera's office, where students were introduced to the company's collaborative work environment. During introductions, students met the Credera interns who would be leading the afternoon's hands-on activity. As they got to know one another, they quickly discovered a shared interest in anime, sparking conversations that helped break the ice and build genuine connections. It was a fun reminder that meaningful mentorship often begins with finding common ground. Students then met with Credera employees to learn about the exciting projects they are currently working on and how they use coding and technology in their careers every day.
A special highlight of the visit was the opportunity for two students, Elizabeth Klemm and Mohab Sheeta, to showcase the projects they developed during Summer Coding Camp, giving Crederians a firsthand look at what they had accomplished over the past several weeks. Elizabeth shared how she overcame a challenging problem in her Python project, while Mohab showcased the website he built using HTML and CSS.
The afternoon concluded with a hands-on activity designed and led by the Credera interns. Working together in teams, students practiced critical thinking, communication, and creative problem-solving. The activity reinforced many of the same skills students have been developing throughout Bold Idea's Summer Coding Camp.
We are incredibly grateful to the entire Credera team for investing their time, expertise, and enthusiasm into creating such a meaningful experience for our students. Their willingness to share their career journeys, mentor our learners, and provide an inside look at careers in technology made the day both inspiring and unforgettable.
