In this role, Joshua will lead Bold Idea’s expanding efforts to equip students across Dallas with foundational Computer Science skills, creative problem-solving experiences, and mentoring from industry professionals. His leadership begins as the organization celebrates ten years of impact and looks toward scaling programs to meet the growing demand for Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) education access.

"Joshua brings a blend of operational leadership, relationship-building, and a deep passion for unlocking opportunity for young people,” said Kris Torres, Board Chair of Bold Idea. “His experience advancing educational equity and community partnerships makes him the right leader to guide Bold Idea into its next stage of growth.”

Joshua brings more than a decade of mission-driven leadership experience across workforce development, youth empowerment, and community-based organizations. With a proven track record of expanding educational access and fostering equitable pathways to opportunity, he steps into the role poised to lead Bold Idea into its next decade of impact.

Most recently, Joshua served as Managing Director of Per Scholas Dallas/Fort Worth, where he led the region’s growth and strategy for the national nonprofit’s no-cost technical training programs. Under his leadership, Per Scholas advanced its mission to create a diverse, thriving technology workforce, contributing to the nationwide success of more than 20,000 graduates launching meaningful careers in tech.

“I’m honored to join Bold Idea at such a pivotal moment,” Joshua said. “This organization has built a powerful community of students, educators, and volunteers united by the belief that all young people deserve the opportunity to imagine and build brighter futures. I’m excited to build on that foundation and help open even more doors for students across our city.”

He also serves as a Board Member of the Dallas Furniture Bank and previously served on the Associate Board of Rebuilding Together North Texas, deepening his commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities through service and strategic collaboration.

Prior to his tenure at Per Scholas, Joshua spent five years at Generation, a global workforce development organization founded by the McKinsey Social Initiative.
