Nakia Hackett
Born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in Grand Prairie, Nakia Hackett is a dedicated professional with a passion for community engagement, education, and youth development. Since moving to Dallas in 2010, she has built a career centered on empowering individuals and creating opportunities for growth.
Nakia’s diverse career includes her impactful work as a Recruiter and Facilitator at Dallas College, where she collaborated with Year Up students to guide them through professional development and career readiness. Her role involved fostering meaningful connections, delivering workshops, and equipping students with the tools they need to succeed in the workforce.
At the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Nakia brought her energy and expertise to educational programming, enhancing visitor experiences and inspiring a love of learning among youth and families. Her ability to connect with diverse audiences and create engaging, educational experiences was a highlight of her time there.
Nakia has also excelled in volunteer management and recruitment with organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, where she worked to strengthen mentorship programs and deepen community impact.
