Jon Ediger
Jon serves as Director of Corporate and Volunteer Engagement, overseeing Bold Idea’s many corporate partners and hundreds of volunteers.
Jon was born and raised in Kansas City, raised by parents who always taught him to see the good in people and always ask “why”. Growing up in a culturally and economically diverse area of Kansas City, he always had a chance to see the better side of people, even when it wasn’t easy. With his parents both heavily involved in politics, Jon always dreamed of a political career.
This dream led him to study Political Science at the University of Kansas. After graduating, he joined a political campaign in an entry-level fundraising position. Shortly after, he joined campaigns in Austin, New York, and two more in Kansas before joining the non-profit world. In 2021, he joined the Dallas Symphony Orchestra to help with corporate fundraising, where he oversaw all of corporate fundraising, stewardship, and created new opportunities for companies to support. Raising money for the DSO’s education programs, Jon found a new passion - education.
After seeing the importance of education programs in Dallas, Jon joined Bold Idea in 2024, where he continues to raise money for important education programming.
Jon is active in numerous other non-profits in Dallas, including the DMA, Nasher, World Affairs Council of DFW, and Dallas Pets Alive, where he serves as the Young Professionals Membership Director and serves on two planning committees.
